The Illustrated Journey

A project about the power of stories, the ways they give us shape and provide us with meaning. It is about how stories help us understand one another.

Illustrated Journey Exhibition

A big thank you to all who came out to the Illustrated Journey Youth Project exhibition last Saturday! We had such a fantastic time celebrating the comics that we created and it was definitely rewarding to share them with you all. Thanks to all the youth for the laughter, the stories and the friendships! Keep on drawing and storytelling!

What a beautiful day for an exhibition. Pear, Dergie and Jordan made some wonderful speeches!

We made even more comics at the comic making table. Los Castorcitos performed for us too!

If you have any stories or photos to share from the exhibition, or would like a copy of our comic book by donation, please write to us at illustratedjourney@gmail.com

Comix and Stories Field Trip

The Illustrated Youth Journey Project spent Car Free day at the event "Comix and Stories," hosted by Vancouver Comicon. We checked out comics, spoke with artists, and hung out on Main Street, where we ate popcorn and cotton candy, played with chalk, and even jump-roped!

Thank you to UBC for hosting our website last year!

This year we will be maintaining our own website thanks to www.blogger.com
Unlike the website which has moved, the Illustrated Journey will still be taking place at our real life home, La Boussole.

Here is a picture of our home at 612 East Broadway in Vancouver:
